    Hi!

I changed recently from a BB Torch 9800 to a BB Passport

I did a migration with the Blackberry Link using a backup from the Blackberry Desktop Software but on this process no mail was moved from the Torch to the Passport.

I want to know if there is a way to move mails from the Torch to the Passport because I use they as reminders.

    Regards,

Is the mail still on your email servers. When you add your mail accounts to bb10 it will populate all the email on the phone.

You need to switch over to an IMAP or other type of server or something like Oulook.com first, before moving to BB10. It makes it much easier.

If you were using a basic decrepit POP3 account and didn't leave the emails on the server, you might be out of luck.

The mails are only on the Torch. I use POP3 due to overwhelm number of mails received.

I'm blocked from searching bb appworld at work but I think there's a backup for BBOS which can be imported on BB10 - no?

Deice switch might be the only option. Might work, might not. Try it and see.

You could do a backup with the Blackberry Desktop Software for BBOS devices with <10 version and restore that backup with the Blackberry Link software.

That restore it's not so good/full as it was when we restored backups with Blackberry Desktop on the same version of BBOS (it not includes mails as I'm looking for on this thread, and other things).

You might have to use WiFi and forward the emails to your new IMAP or ActiveSync account. POP3 is 1990 technology. Best to get away from it for the best experience with multiple devices. It's generally not good to only have your important emails or other information only on one device.

The forward option was there always, but I like to remain date of messages. As you said this seems to be the only way to do what I need.
