    Interesting offer.

Samsung is trying to improve their Tizen software. They are looking for an advantage to have over Android and iOS. It won't be long before Samsung steps away from Android, and Tizen is the main OS. I see why Samsung is trying to buy BlackBerry.

    Exactly!!!

We finally see the evidence that Chen is not the god we thought.

He is no visionary... simply a great bean counter.

I was just wondering. I love BlackBerry but my 2nd choice would be Samsung. I hope this doesn't happen though. BlackBerry is by far my number one. I'm wanting to get my classic when verizon decides to get it in

I read somewhere (correct me if I'm wrong) that Samsung has a fall of 37% in profits?? Maybe they're afraid of blackberry? So why not buy blackberry out before blackberry beat them?
My family members are using s5 galaxy phones. But two have had over heated battery problems and have had to have new batteries dispatched for replacements. I'd hate blackberry being taken over by Samsung just for that reason alone!

Would you be so kind to express the reasons behind this statement?
A change of shareholders doesn't necessarily mean that anything will change for the end-user, so for my part, I'd wait and see what happens.

Jaguar and Land Rover belong to TATA.
Bentley, Lamborghini, Porsche and Bugatti belong to Volkswagen. Does that change anything for the driver?

Very likely it would mean the end of BB10 (or at minimal the removal of the Android runtime) considering that a subsidiary of Samsung would be directly violating OHA rules.

A takeover would probably mean the end of Blackberry 10.

The takeover rumours mean that fewer people will consider buying a device with an OS that could die anytime soon.

That would be the end of the good old Blackberry days and Crackberry!

Chen was only here, to rescue BB. With the upcoming Samsung TAKEOVER this summer, his work is done.

I have heard that Samsung will stomp the brand BlackBerry. They will have a business line will fulltouch only and the Note series. Also, they need BB for their many patents and OS! So 7,5 Billion is pathetic.

What a shame. Thank god, I didn't pull the trigger on the passport yesterday. If the deal is 100% I will leave Blackberry.

What a sad day! First Nokia, now Blackberry ! EFF you Samsung and greedy corporate world.

Not necessarily. I think there is more here than meets the eye. Could it be that Samsung is just going to take a minority stake in the company and then run BB10 on Samsung hardware that is still technically Blackberry's phone. Could this be why blackberry has been so coy about their high end all touch device. Hmmm, quite interesting.

A better car analogy: Chrysler bought American Motors to get the Jeep brand -- then scrapped everything else. Samsung buys BBRY to get BES and BBM -- then scraps everything else.
