I came back to BB after a hiatus....really missed the keyboard and simplistic use for keeping up with email/texting. I returned my Z30 (cant say anything bad about the phone just not for me). I currently use a 9780 on Tmo but, I also have an 8900 which for some reason i cant let go. Anyone use their 8900 as their daily?

    Welcome back!

I had a 9780 and my ex used to have a 8900. Beasts I tell you, both of them. But... in all honesty... I cannot see reason to go back to BBOS with BB10 around.

Do check out the Passport and Classic if a QWERTY is so important for you! Think... What would happen if a Z30 and your 9780 had a baby with 200 IQ.

If those are the only two devices you have right now, I'd keep the 8900 primed for action (all accounts set and stuff) in case the 9780 kicks the bucket. Just de advised the 8900 is stuck on OS5 with is quite limted even if compared to OS6.

I still pull out my 8900 from time to time to hold it and fondly remember the great memories I had using it. It feels so tiny in my hands now compared to the BB10 fleet of devices (Passport is my current daily driver).

The 8900 really was quite the beast. I did everything with it, emails, texts, bbm and watch shows (using the SD card, not streaming). The fact that it wasn't even 3G meant all YouTube watching was only for wi-fi and why I couldn't seriously consider it as a daily driver today.

Nonetheless, I'm never going to get rid of my beloved 8900!

I still have an 8900. It was my first Blackberry! I have fond memories of using it. I got a good couple of year use of it and then it went on a tour of central America when my sister borrowed it to go travelling (we live in UK). It was very beat up after its travels but STILL worked perfectly when she came back after 2 years. I now have it back and it has had a bit of TLC - all housing and trackball replaced so now it looks like new again! I now use it as a 'home/emergency' phone so it is active with a sim inside. Sits on the shelf chugging away with a whole week of battery life at least while it spends most of its time in standby. Stellar phone - still one of my favourite form factors.
