[CrackBerry Question]

I received a replacement BlackBerry Z10 from Verizon and attempted to restore data from my most recent backup of my original Z10. After making sure the OS on the replacement was up-to-date, I completed the restore, but now my android apps (downloaded from Snap) no longer open on the new device. The Android apps just freeze up at 75% of loading. And I can't install any additional apps for Snap as the screen freezes on the initializing page. What might cause this? A faulty Android runtime? Setting post-install behavior to delete apk on my original device? I'd appreciate any help.

Android apps don't transfer properly when doing a restore, more specifically, apps not from BlackBerry World. Backing up your device with non-supported apps was a bad idea.

Follow-up question: I haven't sent my old Z10 back yet so can I delete Snap and all Android apps and try backing it up without those apps? Would those apps then work if I reinstall them after the restore on my new Z10?

SOLUTION: The answer is deleting Snap and all Android apps from your phone BEFORE you create a backup. Then when you restore your phone using that backup, you can reinstall Snap and re-download all your Android apps, and then be able to download additional Android apps.
