I've never worn a holster but I'm looking to purchase a Passport holster since the device is just too big to carry in jean pockets. During the week its in a suit jacket pocket but on weekends I'm afraid of putting too much pressure being applied to the device in fitted jeans. My wife tells me its nerdy or 90s to have a holster yet it seems like a lot of holsters are still being manufactured which makes me think its not a fashion error to wear them. What does the CB community say about that?

Holsters are ok as long as there is a blackberry in it, lol. I wouldn't really worry about it because everyone will be asking to see it, so you won't wear your jeans out,

I suppose that's true given the utility of it. Still my vulnerability makes me not want to look like a dolt, lol.

I think it makes a difference with which one you get, I've ordered the sedio cover and case from the CB store. I think it looks great.

Yes, agree...who cares what others think. If it suits you and it's practical and useful, then use it. If it's clumsy or bulky or uncomfortable...forget it.

I usually do not respond to questions like this cause it annoys me when people care what others think of their appearance. Life is hard enough without being concerned with others. If you want a holster get a holster, if you want a fanny pack or a man purse what's it matter what it looks like.

Honestly, it depends on how you take criticism. If you are the type to be easily influenced by other people’s opinion of you, I would suggest against the holster. I, myself, am the type of individual that couldn't care less about others opinion of me and what I choose to spend my hard earned money on.

For those that say they do not like holsters, I simply tell them to not buy one. And as for those that just feel the need to voice their opinion of my holster every other time that I see them, I just politely smile and say “different strokes, for different folks”.

I totally agree with Bla1ze that as long as YOU are comfortable with whatever holster, case, non-case whatever that's what matters. If someone doesn't then too bad

I have always used a holster with my phones. Heck, even military issued BB come with holsters usually as well.

If having a modern metrosexual for a husband in weekends is very important to your significant other, maybe you could work out an arrangement where she follows you around and carries it the right way for you.

For Access accessibility, keep it out of pocket, and not worrying about setting it down and walking away from it accidentally. Holster is the way to go. Every BlackBerry I have had has been had a holster. My Z30 is always on ny hip.

It is funny! If BBRY were to follow trend, the Passport you're holding would've been produced when Hp palm phones came on board.

Now, doe the Passport look 90?

You can always turn it into a new age style, who knows, other Passport users may borrow a leaf from your sense of style.

Moreso, i'm not preaching against your wife's wishes. Just talk her into understanding how comfortable wearing a holster for your Passport will be.

    Be happy!

Well, let's just say that, in 2015, wearing a holster with a BlackBerry in it, is vastly superior to wearing one with a gun in it.
