Straight Talk wireless is my current carrier. I switch to the Blackberry Classic from iPhone and have been unable to send picture texts. I have tried several Proxy URL settings, but no luck to date. I can send a basic text though. Please Help.

Alain you are right as usual. We are not receiving Telus at the moment (we are in that Bermuda Triangle at the US border). I was thinking that they would go via WiFi as hubby and I both used to have iphones with Telus. And I was trying to practice sending photos with text messages to him. He just read that won't happen anymore since I have Blackberry. I will pm my phone number for future calamities, but you may live to regret offering to help LOL.

glad you figure it out....yes, you need data for texting and email works on wifi..

Straight talk finally told me my SIM card would not work with this phone for pictures texts. I ended up switching to AT&T prepaid and it works fine now.

What sim card did you have from Straight Talk that did not work? They sell T Mobile and AT&T cards from Straight Talk.

you are in data plan? or using wifi? what carrier?

I had the same issue when I first got my Passport. Here's the fix: delete your text conversation with the person you are trying to send the picture message to. Then open a new text message and send the picture. Should work no problem. I'm with Bell, called them when I had the issue and everything was set up correctly on their end.

Hey Lee. I think the answer is: go into settings, go to networks and connections and highlight, highlight mobile network, turn on mobile network and data services. I think that will work for you so that you can send images with your text messages. Fingers crossed.

I'm having the issue with receiving a text with a pic attached. I'm on Rogers... data and wifi always enabled. When the text arrives with a pic a message appears saying there is a pic with a "download now" button which does nothing when I click it. Any suggestions?

Unable to send pictures. BB Classic w/ Bell on data plan. Bell says it was a software update that was stopped midway. I am now running 10.3.1.1450. Still comes up "general problems"
