You will need to contact your cell provider to find out what procedure, if any, needs to be done to mask your caller ID.
The setting on the phone only works if the carrier allows and supports it.

Likelihood your carrier will charge you a certain fee every month to your bill for this to happen

As I have written before, Verizon does not even have this option available. CanNOT hide my number.
