    Also reset by power button does not. I always have to pull the battery. Any ideas? I am on 10.3.0.1052

    It may depend on your model although Power Button should work

    Try a restart:

    Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

    If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

    I have the stl100-1, but restart by power button does not work too. It switches the phone off, but the phone does not restart. I have to press the power key again. This is not a restart I need for the autoloader to work.

    Just keep holding the power button down. Ignore the count down. Ignore the restart. Just keep holding it down until the BlackBerry logo appears. Then let it go. It might take 20 or 30 seconds.
