I hope it doesn't..sole reason I left ios (7 & 8). The flat hideous UI is the worst thing since Monday mornings. Tell me the current BlackBerry UI won't change for the worst.

Off course it will change. By that , I mean it will evolve and get better.

BlackBerry is copying the flat minimalistic looks of Android and iOS, unfortunately. I expected some more creativity. Candy colors and gray childish boxes are here to stay. This new UI is one of the reasons to disable automatic updates on my Z10. I don't really need any of the new features of 10.3.x software update.

There are already some changes happening, for example BlackBerry decided to jump on the flat-design train and introduced their minimalistic UI redesign with 10.3
I am not too happy with it, but it could be worse. The core elements are still the same. I really enjoy the way they layed out BB10, it is nice and convenient to use.

I'm not a big fan of modern flat UIs. But it definitely does give it a cleaner look compared to 10.2.

I also hate the flat UI. And though I jump on to the latest stable leak, I haven't yet got the 10.3 - only because of the "flattened" icons.

I used to modify the icons and make my own themes in BlackBerry Theme Builder, wish something similar was available for BB10 too.

I love flat user interfaces, but I think BlackBerry sacrificed usability for style in many areas of the 10.3 ui.

Strangely, I feel like the lack of grey boxes around the icons made the OS look worse. The grey boxes added a splash of sophistication to the overall look of the icons in my opinion.

Agree, 10.3 looks like basic Android skin on a cheap $150 no name phone.

Runs smoother, eats less battery without all the fancy shadows etc. Stop crying.

10.3.1.1154 has no better battery life than 10.2.2.1609 and doesn't run smoother either. Not to mention buggy camera app. Thanks for sharing your opinion.

I try 10.3.1.1154 and is laggy switching desktops and the camera, what happens with the flash? Pictures with low light is better in 10.2.2

The UI will evolve over time. I think they are on the right path for making things look more simple and icons more flat. However, their apps UI needs to be more consistent across the board.

Flattened icon is nice. Look neat. That's why I also use Windows phone as well. Knowing they have icon flatten. I love blackberry more (New bb user).

Android phone or tablet just my 3rd wife.

No kidding. People ***** and moan about them looking ugly, but I find that they made icons and text more readable. Now the text just gets mashed into the background.

But take what you get and learn to like it, because BlackBerry's designers know what's best for you!

Also, boxes make the screen look unique, organized and icons are better quality. 10.3 screen reminds me of my early Android 2.2 phone with 320x480 resolution display. 10.4 will probably evolve to monochrome UI with Nokia 3310 style menus.

I have read so many times in reviews about the OS that it is not friendly, nor good. I do not find this, but as these reviews read they influence those who buy. I expect we will see some OS flexibility to be able to mimic other systems??

The new UI is definitely better than 10.2 imo. I wouldn't ever want to go back
