    Just thought I'd point out something amusing (and maybe useful if someone wants to write a wrapper app that makes the keyboard easy to use):

    Linux now (as of 10.3 I'm guessing; I'm using 10.3.1 1154) boots on BB10.
    jor1k: OpenRISC OR1K Javascript Emulator Running Linux With Network Support.

    It's not totally obvious, but all of the code is running locally - it'll keep working if you turn off the network.

    Only external dependency is for network access:
    jor1k <-> websockets <-> nginx <-> simple server <-> TAP device or VDE2

    Nice, but I can't get the virtual keys to come up on the Passport (for '/')! Guess I need too buy a Classic.

    Yeah it'd have to be wrapped up in a webworks app that allowed all the unix-y keys to be accessed before being useful.

    Also I found a way that might work to give it local network access, thus making it totally stand-alone - using slirpvde - dev says vde2 not that stable, but probably fine for one person and short run times; I asked here, search for "BlackBerry" on this page (in comments).
