Hello all,

I'm a current Q10 user and have been for over a year now. The problem is that the phone is out of warranty now and the double typing issue just began a month ago. As I've lost faith in a feasible solution to my problem I've decided it's time to move on from a physical keyboard.

I'm between the iPhone 6 and the Z10, because they both have better screens than the Z30 (in my opinion), has anyone tried both phones and could guide me through a good outcome?

I use my phone for texting, Twitter, a little Facebook, heavy Instagram due to my business, heavy WhatsApp and BBM maybe once a month.

I have tried Z30, iP6 n Z10.
iP6 Camera is better than Z30's n Z10's, but other than that n except for the display size, there isn't much/any difference b/w it and iP5.
I suggest u to go for Z30, cuz it has a better display(in my opinion) as i've used both of them for more than a year. Z30's low ppi is not so noticeable. I love it's Amoled display.
For instant messaging, instagram(works flawlessly on latest 10.3.1.1151) and everything, Z30 is the best! and it has the best battery life amongst all these 3.

I reckon that you can get the same things that you stated done with the Z10, as with the iPhone.
Tbh, iPhone's iOS feels so mundane to BB10.

You can wait for the Classic or get a 2014 Q10

Hi I'm sorry but I have to disagree on this one & not because I'm a BlackBerry fan boy, I have a Z10 that I use for 2 businesses. I'm heavy on email, text, whatsapp, Twitter, Facebook (a couple times a day) and I use iGrann for instagram along with Skype, Linkedin, & Viber. I have not tried a iPhone 6 but i did not care for iPhone 5 when I thought of switching from BlackBerry. My Z10 rocks for me 24-7. I realize that everyone has different needs & preferences but I'm very happy with my Z10. Best thing is to try both and see what works best for you. Good luck... Sorry to say:
Z10 is almost 2 years old and eol.
Z30 is almost 1.5 (something like that) years old and starting to get eol.
IPhone 6 is a brand new phone...
Do your math!

The only phones up to it would be passport or classic.

Untill BlackBerry is not releasing a new full touch high end device, it's hard to compete with the new kids in town.
But that's just my opinion (while waiting for a z10 successor)

Brand new phone doesn't mean it's better.
As for me, all IPhone's are kid's toys compared to any other devices, and especially BB10. Not an Apple fan at all
For all your need Z10 seems great; I also use WhatsApp (integration with Hub is just perfect, when heavily used) and Instagram a lot (android app works well, so no problems here either).
But I agree, that you have to try both and choose what's best for you

I've moved from Z30 to Q10, thinking i'd just use it for a week and sell it and buy the white Z30, since I was so in love with the Z30. But as soon as I got my Q10, it was love at first sight! :P. It's screen size is more than enough for me, and I don't think i'll ever sell my Q10, it screams class! Q10 is the best looking BlackBserry yet in my opinion!

Maybe just replacing the Keyboard on your Q10. Mine has the same problem and I've got the spare keyboard, but haven't replaced it yet because the Z30 and Passport are so good.

i agree with "bloodypatronus", brand new does not always mean better. that is a marketing technique that has people running out and upgrading unnecessarily. a few years older tends to be very efficient, because it has worked out the kinks and has proven itself over time, especially if it has had software upgrades and runs the same software as the latest device. i do not see any great advantage in using an iphone 6 over an iphone 5 or z10, it's more hype than anything.

nevertheless i think the z10 can do the trick but you should really try both out to see what suits you. mobile phones have become very personality driven, so it's best to test drive.

i use the z10, 4s and q10 for business and find that the best performance comes out of the q10 hands down. i love the screen size on the z10 and the keyboard is seamless, the 4s is great - no issues there, but i keep going back to the q10 for optimal use.

I'd go for a z30 over an iPhone 6 because I don't trust the battery life on them. Always see people charging it in weird places and as soon as my mum gets in she's got it on charge

Well, you know what bb10 is all about so go into a store were they have a working iPhone and give it a try. You should be able to tell if it's for you fairly quickly. If you happen to see grumpy cat when the display lights up, I was there first.

The two devices you are comparing will both do what you say you need. So pick the cheapest one. You can buy a lot of accessorys with the difference ;-)

You must try a Z30 with 10.3.1. It is a monster. Blackberry is really getting QNX dialed in. Throw them some support if they can stay alive for a few more years nothing will touch them.

Not sure why you would stay away from a Z30. I own a Z30 and multiple Z10's....the Z30 blows away just about any device on the market in my opinion and the screen is a major reason why. As far as a comparison between Crapple 6 and a Z10....if you want a toy phone made for the technologically challenged housewife and YouTubing/Instagramming teenager like my 13 y/o daughter, the 6 is the way to go. If you want a professional device and choose not to go with the Z30, the Z10 is the device for you.

Z30. You don't need a screen upgrade you want a performance and battery upgrade.

if your real choice is between z10 and ip6 id say iphone but if the Z30 was an option it has a way better battery life than the other 2 and would be well worth the look just for that considering used to get about 4 hours on z10 and maybe day and a half on z30.

You get 4 hours on Z10... that can't be right... I get at least 10 hours and sometimes even more if I'm on battery saver (new 10.3.1 feature)
