Is there a process in place to delete core apps on a Q10?

Easiest way to get rid of core apps is to make a folder and stash all of your unused/unwanted apps in it. Granted, you're not deleting them off your phone, per se, but at least they're not taking up screen real estate. Stash the folder on the last homescreen and you'll never notice them again.

See my example. Screen capture on Q10 - press both Vol up and Vol down at same time.

BB10 is kind of like the iPhone in this regard. You can't delete core apps. Some of the apps that come installed. Facebook, Twitter, etc., can be deleted but will reinstall themselves upon a soft reset.

As far as I know you can't delete any system files, like the post above just simply put all the ones you don't like into a folder

You could but you would have to make your own OS autoloader.

Delete what you don't need ect ect..

Anything I don't use I just put into a folder named *useless* and put it on the last page of apps. I do this with my iphone/ipad as well.

I am sure there is a good reason companies don't let you delete core apps (aside from trying to get you to use them). I would guess it's to prevent customers from deleting items that the OS needs (i.e browser, calendar, ect).

I think it's possible to delete the core apps using Sachesi though I haven't tried yet.

Edited: Tested using Sachesi2 RC Windows, the foursquare app was deleted successfully.

I don't need to fully delete these core apps per say, but I want to have the option to hide them.

And creating a deleted apps folder on the home screen still takes up screen space.

BlackBerry is so stupid in this regard, why would I want a separate camera and phone icon when they are permanently stuck on the bottom corners of the screen?
Why would I want a separate voice control icon when I have a dedicated hardware button that works anywhere in the phone?
Why would I want a help and tutorials app permanently?
Why would I want a separate search icon when I can just type my search from the home screen?

No, I don't want to delete apps such as the phone or the camera, but at least give us the option to hide the icons.

You could use BlackBerry Manager to delete unwanted apps. Of course am assuming that you can use this with BB10

I miss how on legacy bbos you could hide folders/icons. I would put all the redundant icons (like the phone and settings and even the browser) into one folder and just hide it and never have to deal with it again (until I hit "show all icons").

Normally, I like to keep all my apps/folders on one page. This takes some organising and a lot of folder building, but doable. It's much harder on my smaller q10 screen and without the ability to hide the icons that are taking up precious space (even if it's just one spot)
