From what I have gathered, VZW may be dropping the Z30 from $199 to $99 on contract for Black Friday weekend. Too bad they charge the darn $30 activation fee for any new subsidized phone. So $129 on 2 year contract. $499 off contract is just too steep and since I have VZW as my carrier I can't use the GSM one on BlackBerry's shop.

Is this worth it? I currently have Q10 and Z10 and absolutely love them. I've used the Z30 before and that screen size, battery life, and sound is awesome...

Only you can answer that question based upon your circumstances. Most people love the Z30, some think it's slightly too big. After using it for a month or more, most still love it.

May I ask where you 'gathered' this information? My contract is up and I would love to save $100 on the upgrade. I can't find any supporting info.

An uneducated guess that the rumors for a Z30 is possible. Verizon dropped the price to $99.99 once before as a special sale.

Just confirmed with VZW rep on phone that with 2 year contract, the Z30 will be $99 plus the $30 upgrade fee ($129). Thursday thru Monday. I'm debating between that and the Samsung Galaxy S5 which is $50 plus the $30 and has a mail in rebate of $50...so basically $30 when all said and done.

Since I already have the Q10 and Z10 I switch back and forth from, I'm really looking for a phablet for home. Z30 or S5? Decisions!

I just bought it off ebay, there are some $250-$300. Came in very good condition (only one slight scuff on battery door which is replaceable anyway). Did device switch from Link and everything moved over including android apps installed from snap. Only had to reload snap. Inserted sim and everything good so far. Purchased last Z10 used from craigslist as well, good condition worked fine.

Fight for it, ask for some consideration for your longevity / # of lines /etc. Try a different store, look for someone who wants to help. Try via telephone/customer service. You can do it!

You may want to keep your eye on your next invoice. It is my understanding that there will be a $30.00 upgrade fee added to bill, whether you go through VZW or anyone else.
I was gonna upgrade some basic phones, told that fee is there no matter if I use Wal-Mart over anyone. Just a thought.

Well, nonetheless, at least Amazon is offering it for $99 Vs. VZW and their obsurd $199. That $30 is worth it to get the phone for $99. Like I said before, I can't get the GSM deal on Shop BlackBerry because of Verizon's network...
