Hey guys I've been a member of crackberry for years and I just wanted to share a quick story with you guys.

My mother's dog was born with epilepsy and has had a clean bill of health for a while but has recently been diagnosed with cancer, she is extremely down on her luck recently.

A little ironic back story about the dog.

Bear is a registered service dog with PALS in calgary and often visits sick kids in the children's hospital here in Calgary.

His favorite patients to spend time with is the leukemia and cancer and autistic patients so it's rather ironic he has developed cancer

As of tomorrow Bear will be having his leg amputated, thanks to a loan from petcard that she must pay monthly for 2 years.

Tonight, in an hour will be his last time playing ball with 4 legs.
Chas'n tails here in calgary has allowed my mom to take him into their heated facilities for one last game.


I will post some photos once she sends them to me.


Also. Your help and word of mouth would be greatly appreciated to help my mom out.

Wowzers the pledges took off today!!!

I am heading to visit Bear right now to check and see how he's doing after the surgery today.


I am pleased to bring forward one good piece of information however.


After the surgery we have been assured that the cancer has not spread passed the leg and his chest xrays and ultrasounds came back clean!!

Okay update time.

Went to meet my mom at the vets office bears surgery went well as I already said.


He is laying in icu recovery mom was able to spend some time with him, although he didn't seem to really acknowledge that he knew she was there.

All he was doing was crying not moving you can see it in his eyes the pain he must feel.

Awwww poor baby. :[ I wish you and Bear the best of luck with everything.

Three of my dogs died just the other day so I know what it just feel like to see them in conditions.

Update on Bear
He's still in a lot of pain we are hoping that tomorrow he can come home saturday or Sunday at the latest. He has began to try to sit up on his own but is still weak we help him up today with a couple slings and managed to get three steps before he couldn't go anymore 3 steps is better than 1!!!






Mommy and her son came to visit me today in the hospital again it was great seeing you, I missed you. And I love you guys. Thank you for helping me up and for using that paper towel to squeeze water in my mouth so I can have a drink and for helping me have a little snack.

The cancer was aggressive bone cancer and the vet said best to remove it.

Hey guys so here's a major update!


Day three doctors say bear is healthy enough to come home.


He had a nice reiki massage today courtesy of a friend.
