Would consumers pay and app charge or a small monthly fee for a blue tooth enabled Blackberry Blend? Why does BB Blend have to got through a network? Is it a security issue with enterprises? Why not directly from phone to laptop or tablet, no network needed? With the new LE blue tooth standards it seems like a good fit.

    Any thoughts?

Blend can be used with a wired connection too.

So are you saying Blend can currently be used via blue tooth? How? Or what? Your response made zero sense. Of course Blend could be used wired.

Blend works over carrier network, USB, or WiFi. You can Blend to your phone from across the world if you wanted (like if you left BlackBerry at home during a trip)

Bluetooth is a terribly insecure, slow, and unreliable connection that requires roughly 30ft proximity. No way would you trust that for a blend connection.

Bluetroll said "wired connection". Seems pretty clear to me. Bluetooth is NOT a wired connection. USB is.

    Made perfect sense to me.

And, no, I wouldn't pay for it either.

Blue tooth doesn't have the bandwidth.
