    Folks, need some guidance.

I picked-up a nice black unlocked Q5 via the BB web sale. The unit behaved oddly, I found ALT wouldn't work when registering it, so I used sym key to handle numbers. The unit is self-updated to 10.2.1.3062 / OS 10.2.1.3442

I've not yet put it on a network, though it will be on Telus going forward. So no SIM card right now.

Now that I've been using it 1 day, I notice that the keys ALT X V B and $ aren't responding. Google shows that this has been seen before (and I cannot put in a link yet), but I don't see a clear posted solution. I'm wondering, would an OS update solve something like this ?

    Thanks

You return it to Shop BlackBerry and get another one.
    Report it as defective....

I'd do a full wipe and see if it fixes it. Maybe a glitch but if it doesn't I'd exchange it as quick as possible.

There's a one year warranty on it from BlackBerry. Send it back and get another one.
