I'm typing this on my Passport - I'm loving this device.

But this November 55% off sale at ShopBlackBerry has me starting a collection of BB10 devices. I can't help it. These deals are just too good for a BlackBerry 10 lover like myself to pass up.

I have already ordered a Black Q10 and Black Z30 because I love the glass weave on the black models.

I've decide I am going to get a Q5 at the great price of $159.


My question is what are the pros and cons of each color?

I'm leaning heavily toward the Red because of its uniqueness among a sea of black and white phones.

But I think the white looks sharp too. But does the white discolor easily?

I'm already getting the Black Q10 so I think it makes sense to mix it up a bit but then again a fleet of all black bb10 devices would be cool.

As Q5 experts what color do you have, how do you like it and what would be your advice to someone choosing a Q5 color?

i'm no expert but the red is slick. I always like white when they come out but after a month or so of owning one i always regretted not getting black.

Red. Pink is very rare and may be a good choice also, but if not then definitely red.

I've had a white Q5 since March with no discoloration at all, with the phone still looking like new. It also looks great in white!

Yes I think I'm getting red. Black is a safe choice but I can take the risk for $159.

Lol, the pink is a real collector's item. they sold out of pink Q5 the first day of the sale. I'm a guy so the pink might clash with my navy blue suits. :-)

Agreed. Although, this isn't the Q10. It's all the same plastic just different colors. I have the black Q5 and it works great for me. It's an awesome phone and to be honest, I like the keyboard better than the Q10.

White, the owners say have a matter finish.
Red, black and pink are shiny, slippery, and oleophilly but nothing a silicone cover cannot fix!

If I'm not mistaken, red and pink are the only glossy finish Q5's while the black and white are both matte. The red gloss has a nicer touch to the hand IMO. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I will use them for different purposes. Passport will be my daily driver to start out. I love the huge screen and flicking on the physical keys. When I want to do some research on youtube, watch a movie or in the mood for that slick virtual keyboard the Z30 will be on stage.

When I go on a fishing trip, work out etc I will be packing the Q5 with a good case. Might make it my mp3 player with a SD card.

The Q10 will be good when I'm more relaxed but still getting stuff done, like errands/groceries and such so I want a smaller form factor and feel the glass weave without a case. If I'm going out socializing with a bunch of iphone and android users then the Passport will be with me. Of course I can switch out whichever phone is my daily driver to my hearts content and all this is subject to change.

Thanks for the feedback. :-) It's becoming clear all 3 colors are great choices. I'm glad to hear you think the red feels the best cuz that's the way I'm leaning. For $159 I should just order all 3 and sell 2 once I decide on which one to keep lol.
