I have been enjoying the amazon app store for some time. Have noticed that for the most of the apps installed on BlackBerry from amazon app store, there is a update available in snap. Is the amazon app store lagging behind the latest released versions of the apps in Google play store?

Yes this seems to be the case for some apps.

+ 1. 1Mobile seems to have the most up to date apps over Amazon Appstore. Why doesn't BlackBerry or Amazon develop an Amazon App Store .BAR app for BB10 devices and post it to BlackBerry World?

The Amazon version is totally separate from the GPlay version. Both have to be updated, and the GPlay is often updated more frequently.
So far for example I have seen Spotify updates regularly on both, while an app like Crunchyroll has been updated on GPlay for a while but not Amazon.

If you notice an app hasn't been updated on Amazon, just send the developer an email with feedback. The more feedback they get, the better the chances are for more updates.

You have to realize that Amazon makes sure that all of there apps will run on the kindle os. That app optimized for kit Kat may not run on Kindle.

Amazon app store has the latest version of Minecraft PE (0.95). If they aren't talking about the mobile pocket edition, then you won't find that in any app store.

I had one app that didn't work from Amazon so I deleted it, downloaded it with snap and it was fine.

I like to use amazon because it's an official solution and I want to support efforts to support the platform.
I want to encourage Amazon to continue to support bb10 so I use it as much as possible but I still keep snap around since some apps just aren't there.
