Hey, so my daughter took my phone to play a game and she put the wrong password, so now i have 2 strike on 10 ! So how to remove the strikes or put it at zero, tried it but it's always there, thanks.

i would think the only way to remove those strikes (as you say) is to reload the OS.

Yes, 8 left, i when to security settings turn off password and then put on again, have to put a new password couldn't use my old one, and it still showing 8 left !

It's probably because you are on a 10.3 leak. On my Z30 with official 10.2.1 OS the counter goes back to zero after I input the correct code.

Since it's a leak, the developers probably haven't fixed that small detail.

You should be back at 0 strikes with the right password. Otherwise I've never seen a bug where it doesn't reset this count.

Did you do hard reset between disabling and re enabling Device Password setting?

I tested it on my Z30 with 10.3.1.938 leak:

- the first time I entered a wrong device password, the counter jumps to 2/10
- entered wrong password for 6 times, I got the warning message "you have entered an incorrect password 5 times...". I clicked the OK button, the counter is 6/10 and I have to put the word 'blackberry'
- I then entered the correct password to get into the phone

I repeated this test 3 times, same thing... LOL

I guess it's a bug...

Read the thread and it's posts. His phone isn't locked, it's just that if the lock screen comes up, it stays at that counter even if he gets it right and can use his phone, the next time it asks for the password, it's still at that counter
