OK so I purchased GTA V From the Amazon app store. It downloaded fine and then the trouble started.

When the installation was about to complete, the store crashed. I did this three times then gave up.

About an hour later the permission screen popped up and I allowed all the permissions. Then my phone became unresponsive. I rebooted it and the permission screen popped up. I once again allowed all the permissions and the phone became unresponsive yet again. This loop is unbreakable.

I'm on my 5th reboot cycle and have come to the conclusion that I will have to run an autoloader and start fresh.

Has anybody experienced this?

I'm On the latest 10.3 leak so no harm no foul. But be aware that this game may cause you grief.

I have also left it alone for a good 6 hours to try and let it sort itself out but no dice.

Very large android apps kill the system, I had the same issue with Magic2014

You have to just let it do its thing, it takes a LONG time to process.

But the phone was just slower after that, I had to delete it.

Had this happen on my Z30 a few months ago. Basically you have to let it finish (it's doing it in the background even after a reset). Eventually the installer or amazon store will pop up, along with every other android app you tried to open since. So much fun. Try deleting the amazon app store and reinstalling it after the mayhem.

OK back on my 30. I noticed after a restart I had about 30 s before the android runtime kicked in and screwed everything up.

I QUICKLY deleted GTA and am now back in business

Well that only took 2 days lol.

Yeah I had problems with the Amazon version of Vice City too, it would just crash the phone mid install, etc. I found removing the APK itself from the Appstore's data folder helped as well as quickly removing what had partially installed.

They really need to fix this issue if Amazon is going to be their consumer app solution, as they don't go the APK/OBB route but rather shove everything into the APK.

I just ended up "obtaining" the Google Play version, extracting the contents of the OBB to the game's data folder and replacing the radio MP3s with copies from the original PC version to restore the missing songs Runs beautifully.
