Hi,
Ever since I upgraded software on my Z30 to 10.3.1.522 the battery has been draining very rapidly. In the device monitor I have noticed that Text Messaging is almost sucking the whole juice out of the battery even though when I'm not using Text Messaging at all. Can anyone suggest what to do to fix this issue.

Exactly same behavior here on 10.3.0.800.
I'm most likely reverting back to 10.3.0.1418.

I've noticed a slight dramatic battery decrease on my Z30 too.

Still happening after I reverted back to 1418 now. Not sure what the deal with this is

Try reverting back to an official release, not a leak version and see if that clears up the issue.

Yes I'm sure that would solve the issue of battery drain because of Text Messaging. But the point is to stick to the leaked version and solve the issue of battery drain somehow. Today I was getting good battery time and Text Messaging was using only 0.12% of the battery until in the afternoon it went haywire and shot up to 23% and started sucking the juice out of the battery like crazy. The graph shows how the battery time nosedived.

That's messed up man... that's what it did to me too on 10.3.1. Went back to 10.3.0.1418 and it ended up settling back on its own after a bit.
