Have you ever decided to buy an old legacy device online for kicks? Just to see what it's like to have a device you missed or couldn't have before? I'm having the urges to buy up a 9000 for $20 lol. What about you folks? I'm so curious but could I really be the only one?

I have the pleasure of using a legacy 9900 for work every day. If anything, I find it frustrating that it's somewhat limited in capability compared to my personal phones.

Don't forget also, if you go back to a legacy device, you'll need a BIS plan to get it fully functional again.

I want a 9000 for $20 I just played with a 9900 and then took an 8330 out but it felt very odd, especially trying to touch the screen on the 8330 and nothing happened

Last year I was afraid to take my Z10 on vacation, because I might have to leave it unattended when being on excursions. (such as diving, etc.) So I took my Torch 9800 with me. It was perfect as I would only use it for some communication to family and some Facebook. And I didn't have to worry about high costs for unintentional Internet usage outside my country because I didn't have BIS, it would only work with wifi. I loved it, but as my daily driver I'm too happy with my Z10.

    I have loll.

First I actually bought a 2014 Bold 9900 - with the updated keyboard that's more clicky.

Then I managed to find a very very well cared for Bold 9780 from an old BES user and it only cost me $40 for it - and let me tell you, those old keyboards were exquisite. So soft and tender, the original 2013 Q10 was like that too...too bad they were so prone to double-type problems...

Anyway, there's something addicting and charming about these old legacy phones - it's true that they're very limited in what they can offer, but if you can get by with just texting and email, very basic browsing and video, it does the job very well.

Been on the 9900 for the past month and the 9780 since the weekend...daily drivers. It's taken me back to 2010 when I never used apps to get by in life loll.

Hey just to add something for you all to laugh at. I brought my old phone in to upgrade for the Z10 they wouldn't take it they said it was to old and didn't take a sim card. It was the Motorola you know the one in a vinyl carrying case with antenna, battery and cigarette lighter plug in. We'll we all had a good laugh after I told them I was just kidding.

Yep, bought a Treo 755p off eBay, and used it for around seven months, when the company for which I was working force-fed me an iPhone.

No longer work for that company, so reactivated my Bold 9930.

I had to use a 9300 while my Q10 was being fixed and it was the worst POS ever.

The browser was basically non functional.

The screen was so tiny that it was giving me a headache, even coming from a Q10. Lol.

Other than that, BlackBerry 10 is so much better than the old bbos.

I had to go back to my 9900 while my Z30 went in for repair. Still a great device for basic communication and I quite enjoyed it in a strange way.

Still couldn't wait to get the 30 back though.

Still have my 9000 and my 9900. If I'm feeling nostalgic, I fire them up for a while. But for day to day use, BB10 is vastly superior.

So yes, I'm feeling nostalgic and bit the "being cheap" bullet and bought a 9000 for $30. Can't wait for it to get here. I'll use it for notes and stuff. I miss the old memopad app. I miss the convenience keys. Woooo

Still rocking my 9700 for everyday use! I will check out the Classic when it appears, and see if it offers the ease of use and the at most - two keypresses (thanks to Quick Launch) to do most anything. If it's close to the ease of the 9700, I'll definitely get one.

Wow. This is cool. Do you have ANY bb10 devices? How do you use it? The 9700 I mean. I don't think I could go back to BBOS for good, but I sure wish I could. Miss the simplicity of it. They just seem to slow. How do you deal with the browser?

The browser is the slow point on the 9700, to be sure. Everything else is pretty fast.

I have pretty much every device from the 8700 series through to my not yet arrived passport. (excluding the BlackBerry flip phone.)

I powered up my 9900 just today as a matter of fact and gave it to my IT group for redistribution. Also turned on my 8830WE....wow I use to love that device.

I do have to say though, tat it's always a huge pleasure to get back on the Z10. It's like taking off skates after a hours on the ice and putting on some comfortable boots
