The title says it all. How come that after 1,5 year there's still NO full emoji support on Blackberry 10 devices? We're already/almost on freaking 10.3.1 and still no emoji support .. I mean come on BlackBerry how difficult is it to bring emoji to BB10? Emoji support is needed .. I'm really tired of seeying black boxes with an ''x'' in it ... Does somebody here on crackberry has answers why it's still a missing feature?

i guess maybe their focus is not on making the messaging as much like the iOS as you would like?

Emoji support is a consumer want. Chen already said he wants to get back into the business channels. Would not bother me in the least for BB to never support Emoji, in fact that is my own personal preference. But kids will be kids I guess.

Dude, they are all on 10.3.1, at full colour. I like what they are doing so far (because I once suggested it), recycling the ones they already had from BBM and make new ones if needed, just like Android.

You can't send them yet (unless you use a 3rd party app), but if they jumped from very little to the whole collection in one OS iteration, chances are they'll also add a way to send them on 10.3.1's official release.

IMO, it they should be on the third ALT press on the keyboard.

Thanks for the heads up bro! Too bad there's not a 10.3.1.8xx leak for the passport.

I just want them to make the current emojis larger. It's almost impossible to see which one is being sent.

Ur font size, in the settings, dictates the size of the emojis I believe.

Will there ever be support for cross platform emoji? Say a passport to an iPhone 5 running ios8?

Emojis are unicode characters, iOS and Android already have emoji support and as of 10.3.1 so does BlackBerry10, if you mean BlackBerry's emoticons those are probably on the way out.

There is Emoji support, but there is no way to select them from your text message app or BBM, or email. What I do is copy the ones I want from Whatsapp and paste them to where I want

Red can you please clarify what you said? I don't get it, when ever I send an ios user an angry face or frown face they don't get it as I'm seeing it. Does 10.3.1 change that?

Emoji support should seriously be a priority tbh. It's a pretty simple update too

BlackBerry is focusing on the enterprise, not the consumer. Do people over the age of 15 really use them anyway?

I don't really see C-level executives thinking of little pictures as a major point as opposed to using a solution that keeps their data secure. Priorities have to be set, and there's a lot more money to be made selling BES licenses and subscriptions than there is in adding character sets used by a small portion of an audience that isn't a part of the one targeted by BlackBerry.

I'm totally in agreement BlackBerry is for business. But, this is not a big ask and should be just done.

Yes they do. I do. Everyone I know who has iPhone uses them.
This is just a matter of a programmer just implementing the code into the OS. It should literally take but a few hours at most. This is kind of a big deal in communication and takes almost no effort to get it done

You know that the Emoji are correctly displayed in the last leak. It's just a matter of time to have the Emoji keyboard now... Dudes solved the issue by copy-paste the unicode character from another app.

That's said, relax and wait... That's all. The official 10.3.1 release is coming soon
