Hi, I have been trying for ages to get my wife's curve 8900 to connect to our home network. My Bold 9900, Ipad, and Bluray player all work fine. What happens is....I go to "setup wifi" then "scan for networks" then it find the home network (along with others in the immediate area) then it asks me to put a PIN into my wireless router. It supplies the pin. I can't enter a pin into my router. It never asked for the password for the router. My carrier (rogers) has never heard of this. She is using an older OS 5.0.0.1067 to be exact. My carrier says my router and modem are all operating ok.
Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Delete saved profile, do it manually, then add your wifi password

Hi rebroker, thanks for replying. I had deleted all profiles. Also tried to add network manually. Basically started from scratch. It never asks for wifi password. BB gives me a pin because apearently my router supports wifi protected setup.

Hi, I got it working finally. I went to a Rogers store. Searched for their network. Found it. Entered the store password. Then I changed the browser setting to wifi hotspot since this phone has no data plan. Clicked on the browser and it went to my defaulted "google.com I tried it on my home network and works there also. ALL IS GOOD!!!!!!!!! Or I can just get her a more current phone!!!!!!!
