Yet again they leave out such a simple but so important feature, they have already left out block a phone number feature... BlackBerry you seriously need to get with the times...

You can't check a phone numbers history/call dates/durations/times on BlackBerry 10 but you could on BlackBerry 7... you have to add the # as a contact to be able to do this so stupid

In the phone app yoy can see the calls you had. Press and hold on any contact in the list and you can see "Call Details " in the right side menu.

Call blocking is available natively in the next 10.3.1 update if I recall. If you have a Passport or installed the leaked 10.3, you can do call blocking with an app.

Call history... it had been there as long as I remember.

I know about that but it doesn't give precise details and is usually missing calls.. for eg I called a # a few times this week, checked call details and only shows 1 call

Someone might have been mentioned this...multiple calls from a number get group together into one and a call qty no shown beside in brackets.

There is a call history. It's just really crappy.

I find BBM is the same way. The clumping of messages together is a pain. It only shows the time the last message within the clump nor each individual time.

It gives as precise details as you could ask for: number, time call occurred, and duration.

You are correct that it doesn't summarize call activity by phone number. You would have to scan through your call log to see previous calls from a particular phone number, then get the details of that specific call. But it's not missing any calls or details unless you're clearing your log.

Keep in mind that some features of the phone, i.e. call blocking, visual voice-mail, are determined by your wireless service provider.

When you go into the info for a number that you've called multiple times it doesn't show the individual time and date the number was called, only the during. That's completely inadequate and needs to be improved.

Don't kill the OP. It's not as ignorant as it seems. Although on Z10, faced exactly the same issue where the phone shows just one entry and there's no history of rest of the calls. It somehow fixed itself after 3-4 restarts. Haven't faced it on Passport though. Yet.
