Just happened to notice my Roku stick showed up under Miracast settings on my Passport.

Connected flawlessly and streamed the latest episode of The Big Bang Theory from cbs.com.

Really psyched about this. After doing some more research, seems Roku added Miracast support this October to the streaming stick and Roku3. For $50 (streaming stick) - only way to go!

Screw Airplay! Just a heads up for everyone!

That might be a good solution then, instead of getting a Slimport adapter.

Okay so I'm seeing this as an option... but my Q10 can't find the Miracast adapter of my Roku. How do I connect it?

Okay, nvm, I got it to work. Yeeeeeaaaaa!!!

I guess I had to connect the Roku to a 2.4 Ghz network for my BlackBerry to detect it. Annoying because it would cause interference for other people at my house since the router is right next to my Roku.

    But whatever, it works!

    Sorry, should have clarified.

No lag issues with the Passport and Roku Streaming Stick.

However, I did notice the resolution is a square and native of the Passport display. Don't know if there is any way to adjust that, but no big deal really.

Works as flawlessly as Airplay mirroring.

Thanks. I asked because Miracast was flawless with my Passport and not with the Z30. I'm trying to figure out if it is the dangle or the phone.

Z10 doesn't support Mirada at due to hardware limitations. Q10 might have the same issue.

I think the z30 can do it though.

I did notice a 1 second lag and there were times when videos stuttered, but it works. Perhaps once it's out of beta?

    Try rebooting everything.

I've not had any issue. Miracast works great.

This sounds awesome. So it's video and audio mirroring, but the resolution will match the square screen? There's gotta be a way around that that doesn't mean breaking out an HDMI cable and adapter.

With the native video app and in YouTube, the can expand video to fill the whole screen. Plus, you can then multi task and the video will keep playing.

I wish you could go full screen with things like Docs To Go, but that is not possible.

I use Miracast as much as possible on my Q10 and the netgear push2tv.

I wish it'd be more consistent when streaming online content. I understand the device works double as it is processing the inbound stream and transmitting outbound to the mirroring device (Roku, push2tv).

Any app that supports PlayOn should be able to stream the video with the original format.

I use miracast quite a bit, when you play a video through the browser or a video stored on your phone it will allow the playon feature, this allows the video to play full screen on the TV, and then on the phone you can do other things like browse the web etc.. but when I use netflix it doesn't have the playon feature so I only get the mirrored screen of the passport which has the black lines on the left and right of the picture on the tv and also you can't multitask without seeing everything on the tv. Plus the wifi ac makes the stream essentially seamless.

The device monitor even tells you how much data you stream through miracast:
