Me and my mates back in the irc days used to boast how good our OS was running by posting uptimes.

I thought that this would be a neat thing to compare with other Bold owners at the moment with a few different OS's floating about.

So, I think what we need to know are the following:
    - OS
    - File Free
    - Uptime (can we convert to hours, seconds is a little too insane imo)
    - anything else you think is relevant
Feel free to post a screenshot, I will get a SS program tomorrow to prove mine is accurate.

    I'll go first...

    OS: .185
    File Free: 49 meg
    Uptime: 82.5 hours!

I have not had any problems, no glitches or anything that has even made me think I should do a battery pull... Yet (:

As you can see from my file free, not having any problems with memory leaks!

Your turn fellow crackberrys, show me up!

    OS: 185

Press the left alt left shift + H all at the same time, it will bring up the help me screen which shows uptime in seconds.

Not sure what this is measuring. Mine shows 68785 seconds which is pure fantasy. I have to reboot (or usually the device does it for me without warning) at least once every twenty four hours, so I am not sure whether the figure has any meaning.

Hold ALT down and press NMLL to change your coverage indicator to a number instead of the bars, same to switch back

Not bad! I have to say .185 is really very stable, I'm rather happy with it so far.

nice, so i take it the lower the number (more negative) the worse the signal? i have -70 db with 5 bars of 3G signal...

No, I believe it's that the more positive the worse the signal.

The smaller the number, the better the signal.

Both .185 and .190 were great (I think .190 is better on the leak), but battery is definitely better on .185 from my experience.

I'm rocking .185 until I find a reason to upgrade.

I agree with Jayden that .190 is better on memory leak than .185 but I had a couple of bigger issues with .190 so I kicked that OS to the curb.

sweet, well i just upgraded from .167 to .185...huge improvement.

    OS: .185

file free: 28.5 mb (with viigo open)

i'm glad i upgraded, better than the 12? that i had on my first post

I don't quite understand what uptime means - since the last reboot? And what do the relationships between these numbers tell us?

I'm interested, just don't quite get it.

    OS .162
    Uptime 136 hours
    File free 43.8 mb

    nice.

yeah it pretty much just means time since last reboot. it just shows the stability of the OS...since many people have been having problems with random reboots or having the need to do a battery pull.
