What do you think is the problem with z10 stl-1?
Anyone is having a z10 without this issue? Any software update solves this issue?
    Please let me know...

Battery calibration is what people do to solve the issue of a fast draining battery. It's not a bug or a glitch.

It's like setting your phone and battery to a state where it's fresh and clean so that the reading of the device would match perfectly, or almost, with what the actual status of the battery is.

    How to calibrate?

Essentially kill your battery, but not too fast or your phone will shut down before reaching the 0~2 %. Then plug your device and let it charge without using it (personally, I let it off to avoid any temptation) till 100 %. Overcharge it a bit, if you feel like it. Repeat 2-3 times, more if necessary.

Believe it or not, I was resolved this problem with 10.2.2, (STL 001) until now my battery percentage is correct, device turn off when battery is 0% after 8hrs (1 year old battery and moderate usage).

Did all of the calibration suggestions but never solved the problem. I believe it's hardware issue. When it charges to 100% it turns off at 12%. When it charges up to 97% it turns off at 9% and when it charges to 87% it turns off at 2%. If the 10.3.1 is not going to solve the problem I will send this phone back to blackberry even though it's 1 year old.

I never had this issue on my stl-1
from the first day I got my unit than I just calibrate it as follow :

let the battery drain until the unit turns off.
take out the battery and connect the phone without battery to the USB charger via your home pc
let the phone be connected to USB charger for 30 minutes.
without disconnecting the charger insert the battery in the phone and let it charge up to whatever percentage it indicate. Off corse even in my case it charged up to 83% and it stopped.. so what I did was to take the charger and reconnect it again and even again until it was charged and indicated 100%.
I even remember with some point u did restart the phone and than it did show the right percentage.
after what u done, until this moment I never had any issues with my battery or false indication.
this is absolutely not an hardware or software issue... it's simply you phone want to know your battery and they have to match by the time past.

The best way to solve the blackberry z10 battery problem :
    1. Drain your battery (till your phone turns off)
    2. Get a desktop battery charger
    3. Plug the battery in.
    4. Do not plug in electricity(will just put on a single light (red, blue or so..)
    5. Leave for about 10-20 minutes
    6. Remove the battery, put into your phone.
    7. It will have been recalibrated to 0%
