Just want to know if your z30 is sluggish sometime, like the animation from the hub to the main page sometime is a little laggy? Or minimizing an app the animation lag a little?

If so I barely notice it.
Starting apps is not as fast as I could wish for and noticeable slower than iPhone 5S/6

Sometimes the typing has become sluggish. Not sure if it is the auto-predict or what, but is has happened a number of times when I am trying to blast out some BBMs or text messages or emails...

Yes, mine has slowed over the past month. I wonder if it is some android apps I side loaded. If I leave the calendar open and then return to it much later, it is light coloured and seems to try to load but hangs.

If it slows down, it's time to do a battery pull.... doh!

Seriously... slowing down is a sign of memory clogging up with all sort of orphan processes (memory leaks).

    Just reboot the device.

Yeah, happens quite a bit. Battery pulls works sometimes, but even right after its still a bit laggy.

Mine gets wonky when the memory drops below 400MB. So i usually reboot every couple of days.

I usually do a reboot too every couple of days as I get some battery drain overnight
    ... loses 50% so I reboot.

As with my older BlackBerry's, this fixes lag too.

    I never reboot my Z30.

Rebooting is invented by people/supporters not able or willing to identify the root cause of a problem and instead resetting becomes a "fix". IMHO it's a bad strategy and I try to avoid it because there is a good chance the issue will happen again.

I also work as an infrastructure consultant and I would look really bad if I kept rebooting my clients servers to free up resources. Let the OS handle memory etc - that's what it's made for.

Legacy BlackBerry devices needed this due to a lot of different problems but BlackBerry 10 should not unless some memory leaks exists. It's a very, very robust OS.

Any native app can be gracefully closed and use any process manager to close background Android Apps.

FYI: A memory leak is memory (RAM) allocated by an app but never free'd again.
