    Should I go for 10.3.1.632 or 10.3.0.1418?

I have a Verizon Z10 with latest carrier OS.

    Does Blend work with either?

Are both reasonably complete, and stable? Considering 10.3.0 should be skipping everything except the Passport you would think going with .632 would be the safe bet.

It has been a while since I loaded a leak... Will I get the notification from Verizon when they release 10.3.1 in 2020, lol?

Sorry for all these questions but I am sure others are thinking this as well!

Edited: read the following after you buy a passport - apparently I already thought you had one

My opinion is to go with 10.3.1

The keyboard shortcuts are worth it alone in my opinion

The watermarks are barely even noticeable on the big Passport screen as they're soo close to the edges anyway

Not to mention some of the other goodies like custom snoozes, the changes with custom profiles etc!

    Definitely worth loading a leak

    Blend works on both!

Brian, I have a Z10 on Verizon. It's running 10.3.0.1154, which I upgraded to non destructively using Sachesi.

I can't speak for 10.3.1 since I don't care for watermarks, but have zero issues with the 10.3.0

Well you would naturally go for 10.3.0.1418 as it is a production release.

10.3.1 is only a beta, pre 1000 build for testing purposes.

Based on that, unless your an avid 'I must try the latest and greatest' stick with production releases for stability and compatibility.

Note though Z10's on 10.3 or 10.3.1 may have slight issues with audio but this is a personal issue I have and may not always be the case for everyone.

Thanks for the update. I was under the impression nobody was going to get 10.3 except the Passport, so I assumed 10.3.1 would be more production ready than a 10.3.0 build.

Also, do you have a screen shot for this whole watermark thing? I tried searching the forum and could not find what it looks like. This watermark thing must be new because 10.2.1 leaks did not have them.

But it sounds like if you can put up with watermark it might be worth a10.3.1 leak otherwise 10.3.0 is better because it is more of a real release.

Good to know that no 10.3.x will give a Z10 Blend.

    Thanks!

I use my primary device (BlackBerry Passport) with 10.3.0.xxx (which is stored on the production server of BlackBerry Limited) while I have loaded 10.3.1.xxx onto my secondary devices.

I do not recommend that 10.3.1.xxx (which is a Developer OS) be installed on your primary device unless you can bear with whatever malfunction may be caused by such Developer OS.

Agreed...but there are less malfunctions on 10.3.1 beta than on the production 10.3.0 for my Z30.

Not new at all. Builds under 1000 pretty much always had them. I barely notice them.
I would post a pic of what it looks like, except I am not interested in broadcasting my PIN, and blanking them out will defeat the purpose..lol

Anyway, Z30 on VZW here. I was on 10.3.0, now on 10.3.1. Someone mentioned that production is more stable and probably safer, and I won't argue against that generally, but in this case -for me- 10.3.1 seems better. Also, take into account that 10.3.1 is intended for phones other than Passport. 10.3.0 is intended for Passport.

Truly leaked OSes have almost always had PIN watermarks on screen.

Many leaked OSes have not been truly leaked OSes because they are found (when certain carriers get ready to push them out) and downloaded from the OTA server of BlackBerry Limited. Accordingly, they do not have PIN watermarks on screen. (An analogy. . . you might recall that we used to recycle software packages released for various carriers to our own legacy BlackBerry OS devices.)

If you do the .634 Dev OS and then add the .632 apps you get 3.1 with no watermarks, fairly stable for me after turning off "merge contacts" (very messy before that). I don't really do much social or any games but since i got the contacts thing straightened out it has been running great as a daily driver for a Q10 on VZW with Activesync/Exchange set-up. I also turned off any third party contacts syncing.

Before i figured out the contacts solution/fix/hack, i was getting reboots and deletion of the exchange account, which would re-build itself but basically render all exchange data useless - that was totally unusable as a daily driver. Since then it's been solid for a few days now but i also got a Passport so even though i carry it all the time and i am doing less on the Q.

I have not had the time to try the 3.1 combo on the Passport yet but would love to have the highly upgraded notifications settings of 3.1, custom LED by app not just contact, snooze function with variable times is a life saver, small but killer features.

Not sure if you are serious. If you are, I don't think you should be loading up leaks...

    Just my 2 cents

No question 10.3.1.632 is better for non-Passport devices than 10.3.0.xxxx.

Memory management is a disaster for the older devices on 10.3.0 especially if you have a lot of android apps installed. I had to reboot daily to get my memory back.

Only real bugs I've found with 10.3.1 is auto-merging of contacts, and phone not ringing in bedside mode (I just use a "phone only" profile instead).

I have read on several post that leaks with numbers over 1000 don't have watermarks. Maybe the leaks that you have used were 10.2.1.xxxx, where xxxx number was over 1000. Leaks 10.3.1.xxx have the number under 1000 so far, therefore they have watermarks.
I have 10.3.1.632 on my Z30 sta100-5, watermarks are so dim that you can hardly notice them. Just a couple of times have CB and contacts app had a delay when showing content, and once picture password froze so I had to reboot. Other than that, I am happy with it.

I have audio issues going from 10.2.1.xxxx to 10.3.0.1052; essentially, the damn thing is barely audible at all. However, didn't go back because 10.3.x better for me than 10.2.x.

Getting ready to SIC wipe phone, then install 10.3.1.xxxx for the "no merge contacts" feature alone. If the audio improves, terrific.
