Just got an email from BlackBerry thanking me for my Passport order along with a notification that my phone will be shipped by October 29th. How crazy is this!! I placed my order on October 3rd!! I called up shopblackberry and they wont even upgrade my shipping to two day. They are going to have a ton of pissed customers and cancellations.

Hey if you don't like the date, can I buy it from you on the 29th. Ill send you bank check, paypal, whatever you like. I'm not joking. There's people that can't even get an order in.

Want to see people waiting... just look at all those who ordered Iphone6 and are still waiting.... guess when it is Apple waiting is a privilege and waiting for a BB is a pain..... Might just be why Apple is doing light years better than BB..... just a great shows how the world has turned into " I want it now" society....

They can't produce phones overnight! Oct 29 is not bad. I know people who ordered the iPhone 6+ at launch and who are still waiting. At least now there's a date!

Got that email too. I ordered mine (2 Passport's with 2 Hard Shell Covers and overnight delivery for $1,400 USD) on launch day September 24 at around 3pm. After 2 and a half weeks of the "Boxed Shipment" on my order status, being told over the phone that it was going to ship next day, it was back ordered, back in stock, then it's going to ship next day again, now I finally get this email. Terrible communications on Digital River's part. It is a relief to finally see BlackBerry themselves actually addressing this issue, but late in addressing it.

This s actually pretty pathetic. Apple was able to to pump out 10 million and the people who preordered it are slowly getting their phones. BB isnt able to do over 200k and and completely out of stock and are shipping their phones until the ends of Oct. no wondee AT&T hasnt announced anything dealing with this mess of a launch.

Only the difference is Apple sold 4 Million while BlackBerry ONLY got 200k in the first 24 hrs after being announced. The difference is light years apart. Apple can easily handle 200k pre-orders and ship them out.
