.........they're also accepting preorders. The product page says "Out of Stock" but will allow you to click on "Buy Now". On the next page there's a small announcement saying, "This product is currently on backorder and will start shipping October 6th" you can complete your order from there.

Pretty much a shot in the dark. You can always order from both places, I don't think they charge your card until they ship, and then cancel your order at one place after you get confirmation from the other.

You're probably further up the line if you already have an order at Amazon, apparently both Amazon and BlackBerry are shipping on a first come, first served basis. If I were you I would wait.

After you add FX and shipping it's not really $100 cheaper. Amazon adds tax and handling too. More like $30 cheaper.

Unfortunately, shipping from Amazon is no longer cheaper because of the extremely poor performance of the Canadian dollar. If you're lucky, and you get charged less tax for some reason, you might save a few dollars, but that's all.

Cancelled my order today. Now that its available from Rogers, I am going to pick it up in person, and if I cant find it, I have already worked it out with Customer Relations that they are going to send one my way.

Kinda let down by the whole ShopBlackBerry experience.. I ordered on launch day, and to be put on a two week back order, hurts to say the least.

I signed up for an email alert when the Passport's available again and I never got one, it was only through a stroke of luck that I caught the page at the right time that the device was available. What's the point of email alerts if they're not sent out?

Ditto, was also signed up for an email alert, and never received any alerts from them. Really sad, was hoping to get a notice early this morning and be able to order immediately. Pouting now...
