    i connect my bb to the laptop with the USB. But after connection it only starts the charging on my phone. how do i connect the two so there can be sharing of files and media?

    You'll need to turn on USB Mass Storage mode in order to access the contents of the device, or any media cards you have in it. You can also set the device to give you a prompt to either charge the device or also allow for media syncing when you connect via USB.

    Installing BlackBerry Desktop Software is also a good idea.

    Start the Blackberry Desktop Manager on the laptop. It will then Read the files on the Curve
