I need help from those who has one.

I have a connection where I could buy a Passport brand new within the next 24 hr, but I I don't know if it's for me.

I translate and type in 6 different languages on a daily basis. I want to know if the qwerty keyboard will hinder me from doing this or do international keyboards just display on screen.

Also if possible, can someone post a screen shot of the languages available on the Passport?

    Thanks

They have the same language as the Z10 and Z30

    Thanks

But Z10 and 30 have soft keyboard. By changing the languages won't affect the label on each key on the Passport. so that's why I'm asking if other languages bring up a soft keyboard on the screen. Otherwise it makes typing in Arabic and Chinese much more difficult

I only had one qwerty phone but wasn't a Blackberry and it had both onscreen and physical keyboard. Is BlackBerry Passport like that?

No, unfortunately there's no on screen keyboard with the language. I have mine set to Greek, but need to use the English keyboard to type in Greek.

So you need to memorize the keyboard layout.

    Thank you for the replies.

Good to know, thank you. This was the case when I had the Q10.
Had to remember the hard keys when I typed in Greek.

Then I got the Z30, and loved how the virtual keypad would switch letters to the other language.

I plan to get the Passport...maybe with a future OS update it will populate the other language on screen...that would be nice.

How do you select the "other " language on the Passport? Swipe down on the keypad?

It's actually one of the buttons on the virtual row above the keyboard. You push and hold it for a second. I also liked how the virtual keyboard worked with my Z30.

They do, but I'm local authorities in Canada and also use Greek from time to time.

There is a button on the 4 row on the key board allowing toggling thru various key boards.
The keys still show the query letters, but the result is different. Using the German key board, pushing the querty z key results in a y.

I can't say I use foreign languages, but am I hearing that you would still like to see the foreign letters in the virtual part of the keyboard? That would be possible. Is that really useful?
