I've never been fond of Android apps, Amazon apps, etc. I'm more of the mindset that BlackBerry should have only native apps. To me that's the way to virtually guarantee that all apps will/should work as expected.

My issue right now is using apps installed via Snap. In particular, Instagram. The app installs fine and I can access my account. Albeit, the minute I like an image or comment, it closes the app.

This little feat of the app closing, even thought it has recorded the last transaction, is frustrating to say the least. I used to think this issue was just on my Z10. I've since tested this via my Q10 and now my Z30.

So, this begs the question, what causes this issue and how to resolve it?

I use iGrann....a native Instagram client. I have no issues with it.

I'm not sure why some people are having this issue, and not others. The only Android app that I've ever had do this was Skype, but since recent updates, it doesn't do that anymore, and runs like native app. All the Android apps on my Z10 run very well.

Maybe I shouldn't have used Instagram as an example. But, I do have iGrann Pro, but was merely expressing an issue with one app. Albeit this happens with a few Android (Snap installed) apps...

I'm thinking that it's not an issue with the apps, but more an issue with the phone. Either the model of phone, or the OS version supplied by your carrier. I've noticed that therr is a difference in how certain Android apps react differently on the different models of BlackBerry 10 smartphones. I have the STL100-3 on Rogers, and I'm not having these issues. I've heard most of these issues seem to be happening with the STL100-1. At least on the Z10.

I have this behavior on a couple android apps on my passport. I figured it was normal. Sometimes the back button doesn't work on the apps either.

I know BlackBerry signed a contract with Amazon. But I wished they'd convince developers to make native BlackBerry apps.
