Hello everyone. For many years I've wanted a BlackBerry phone, but the iPhone got in the way. Had one of those yuppie phones for years until I ditched it for Windows Phone (which has a place in my heart).

I'm somewhat of a phone junky with a few Nokia phones in my drawer. The Lumia 1520.3 is my latest, until yesterday when I decided to bite the bullet on a factory unlocked Q10. My intensions were to jump right into BlackBerry with the P'9983, but then came to my senses to ease into it first.

This phone has been great in and out of the car. I'm on a T-Mobile prepaid plan and this Q10 allows the mobile hotspot feature to work flawlessly without adding that feature to my plan. That's a big win for me.

Other than that here are some of the things I like:

aptX lossless Bluetooth streaming
Playing flac music files with the default music app
Ability read emails on my car's screen
Porsche logo appeared on the lock screen after I paired it. Looks awesome! But now gone and I don't know how to get it back.
BB hub (omg useful!)
Physical keyboard
VoIP sip phone apps

I don't know much at all about BlackBerry's history, so it's hard to see why they fell off the earth.

This is a great phone! Hope to learn lots during my time here.

Welcome! Be sure to browse the forums to help you get the most out of your phone.

You should look into loading the Amazon app store to your phone. Simply visit their website and download their Android app but not to worry if you are a little hesitant it should be pre-loaded for you as soon as 10.3.1 gets pushed to all those that don't own a Porche 9983 or the new Passport.

Welcome mister2d! As you progress day to day with your BlackBerry device you will definitely fall in love with it! Heads-up, there are some ups and downs as you learn and discover the great OS BB10 is but you will surely get past those stages and it will make you love it even more!

Try and discover some of the tricks and tips such as (when in the hub) pinch screen to reveal unread messages; when browsing your pics, hold slider at the side to easily navigate through dates; when you take a picture, hold and bring to center for quick preview then quick share or delete; etc.

Welcome! I'm on my second BB10 device after moving over from iPhone last year. Decided to upgrade from the Z10 to the Z30 a couple months ago. My girlfriend has a Z10 and Q10 and her mom has a Q5. I can tell you from first hand experience that all the BlackBerry 10 phones are fantastic. If only more people knew about them!
