    Hi,
maybe we have a passport user like me with a google apps account.
It is possible to make a remote search for emails on the latest OS?

    thanks.

My son is using Google apps at his High School and the remote search works for emails. He is using a Z30 and previously a Z10 on the stock 10.2.1 OS. You need to setup the account as an Exchange account rather than an IMAP account.

You also need to be a paid or education Google apps subscriber to setup as an Exchange account.

Here is the link his school IT department provided for setting up a Google Apps account as an Exchange Active Sync account.

Did you check the link I provided and compare the settings to what you have? If this doesn't help, contact Google and see if there is active sync enabled on your Google paid account.

You need to have a paid Google account in order to get active sync. If you have a free account you will not have that feature. I thought you said you paid for Google?

Remote search works perfectly fine with a straight up imap Gmail account. Just add your Gmail account with default settings and you're ready to go. Works for me. I have a free Gmail account.

Edit: I see you are asking about Google Apps, not Gmail . That's different I guess.

Remote search works fine on both my Google Apps account and my regular Gmail and I don't even pay for my Google Apps account. Though maybe it was grandfather'd in or something before they made the changes.

I've had my Google apps and gmail accounts for ages. My Google apps is exchange and my Gmail Imap. Neither allow remote search which is such a great feature!

    Wonder what's wrong with Mine.
