    BBM is still using 22% of my battery after being shut down overnight. I got my Z30 about a month ago. It has never had problems like this before. I'm wondering if I need to contact tech support. I wish I could remove the app but it will not let me.

    If you want to remove BBM then go to settings / security and privacy / parental controls and put a password and lock BBM

    Hi... first time in the forum. I have a Blackberry Z30 and my OS is the latest version 10.2.1.2991..... I am on the Verizon network ..... I live in a little speck called Milton, NC just outside of Danville, VA.

    I am not subscribed to any channels or anything. Only had one contact, my husband.

    In bbm settings, is location turned on? (open bbm > swipe down from the top)

    Also, have you used glympse?

    Turn off status as well

    I have had same issue on my z10 and BBM battery drain. I have had the phone for one and a half years and haven't had any problems until recently. I haven't changed any settings for BBM. I am not a heavy BBM user and only use it for family communication and calendar.

    I do a hard reset and don't have any problems for a while, but then it comes back in a couple weeks. Software is 10.2.1.3253.

    After a hard reset and 12 hours since charge, BBM is 0.21% (until it happens again) .

    It is possible I've never noticed this simply because I don't think I've ever gone a week between (regular) restarts
