Here in Dubai the only BlackBerry Store in the world is taking pre orders, by paying only 200AED u can book one for ur self either of the colours, the price is not yet disclosed, but is expected for 2699 AED, and the availability is said to start by the 26th of September, which totally makes sense because GITEX is startled on 27th, and is a BIG platform for BlackBerry to show the new device off to all BlackBerry lovers and non lovers here

In UAE (Dubai is a city in UAE) carrier locked is almost as rare as a Unicorn , Unlocked is the way here, unless you really want a contract.

Hi im also from dubai. Last week I was in an electronic store to buy some accessories for my q10. Saw a BlackBerry rep arranging a small display rack. Approached him and ask about the passport. He had a dummy phone.

>> photos attached size comparison with z30 and how it looked in my work trousers. I asked him about the price he said roughly around 3500 AED (950USD) passport. 2600 AED (680 USD) classic. When I ask though of the classic removable battery he was confident when he said yes. Based on the leak photos I don't think so. But hey its still not final until announced. I'm betting it's not a consumer replaceable battery. I ask him if I can get an invite for the launch. He said it's for retail business people. Unless I know anyone from that industry. Just need to wait a few more days for the launch I'm so excited!

3500? R u sure he was not stupid? :P no general phone is that expensive (expect for porsche design or something) , and what dies BlackBerry have that is such a necessity for people to pay that much :P, let me see, i'll be visible them tomorrow by noon again
