I have had a few apps updated in the last few days, could this be a sign that 10.3.1 is just around the corner?
My ipad had quite a few updates in the last few days prior to ios8 becoming available so fingers crossed, 10.3.1 might be announced/available around Passport release

Certain apps are being updated to support 10.3 on the Passport when it released. Updated apps are NOT an indicator of an early 10.3.1 release.

I've noticed this before with iOS, Android and BlackBerry, lots of app updates just before an OS upgrade. Looking at October for the release.

Since both the P8893 and the Passport will soon be released, apps might get updated for them and already support the future look of BB10. I don't think it has anything to do with a surprising 10.3 release for existing devices.

Unless they haven't changed their plans: No official 10.3 for existing devices ever. Those will get 10.3.1 instead after the BlackBerry Classic has been released later this year.

I didn't realise it was after the Classic, I thought it was a short time after the Passport, that's a disappointment

Maybe, but they are also getting 10.3.1 eventually blackberry confirmed this in a press statement, it's just a question of when.

I'm on Verizon and just got an update to 10.2.1 so I'm not holding my breath for anything newer for a long time unless I load a leak.
