I recently made a post about my phone draining battery while off.
Turns out my phone is restarting instead of shutting down and vice versa... any solutions?

I'd give it a good wipe.

1. Backup using Blackberry Link;
2. Download an autoloader for the OS you want to use;
3. Run the autoloader;
4. Check if the issue still happens

At this point restoring the backup is optional. Keep in mind that if you restore the backup and the issue comes back, you may have to hunt down what app/setting is going crazy, so starting fresh might be a faster solution.

Link does allow for you to select what apps to backup, so you could back up only the important stuff.

Make sure your battery is tight. Open the back and gently push down on the battery toward the contacts. There should be a slight movement. I had a situation where suddenly my phone started to randomly reboot. The culprit was the contact tines and the battery. Once I made sure the tines were retracting properly, no random reboots have occurred.
