I just picked up my Z10 STL100-3 unlocked from Shop blackberry.

I am contemplating installing the 10.3 OS on my Z10 but just had a few questions.

1) is it possible to go back to the original OS if I wanted to?

2) would all my installed apps work well with the 10.3?
bank apps, Hub++, supertube.

3) I realize that the leaked OS is unfinished. So what kind of bugs should I be expecting?

The 10.3 OS is very good. I can't see many of your apps not working on it.
If you want to go back to a different OS, you will be able to do that.

Easily done. Either run a 10.2.1 autoloader or use Sachesi to load the BAR files from a previous OS version.

All native apps and most Android apps. It's only when we reach 10.3.1 that Air coded apps go dead.

The one that annoys me is the camera being greedy about memory. If you have apps open, it will may stutter, lag or close (or a combo of the three). Also, HDR is making it crash for me. Other than that, some (very few) Android apps are misbeaving, but when you think of how many Android apps that didn't work and now do, it's a minor setback.

I'd use it on 10.2.1 for a week make a backup and then jump on 10.3. This way you get to notice the differences!

Are the battery issues fixed in 10.3 ? I have read a lot about the OS itself, but never met someone, who commented this known problem on the earlier OSs.

A Z10's battery issues has little to do with the OS and a lot with user's profiles, signal strength and the actual size of the battery.

I'm on 10.3.0.1154 on my Z10. You can definitely see this OS is not fully optimized for devices like the Z10 and Z30.

The keyboard on this OS has glitches and some times you can't flick the word up without going to the next letter. I also found that if I'm running to many apps in active frames that the phone slows down., that never happened with 10.2.1. Calendar is just fugly on 10.3, but I also feel as though the huge numbers for dates is do to the optimization for the Passport. The numbers should definitely be reduced in size for the Z10 and other devices when 10.3.1 arrives. Other then that, for a leaked OS not really meant for use on a Z10, the OS is pretty solid.

My favorite improvement is the Android Runtime. You can definitely notice apps are running faster and smoother.

I'm a z10 stl100-1 user and currently enjoying the latest leak of 10.3.0.1052. Battery though decreased performance maybe due to cpu usage? Some transitions are sketchy

I installed the 1154 leak on my Q10 and kids' Z10 s. I have had no problems and neither have my kids. My daughter texts a lot and has had no keyboard problems. Everything runs smoothly. Android runtime is running faster and smoother. Son is happy with game performances. The upgraded camera and video features are great. Being able to take photos with video is helpful. I like the calendar and Hub upgrades too. Have found this leak to be staple. I did a device wipe and reinstall. That was better than trying to restore which caused problems. Make sure you back everything up.

If you can try the 10.2 first and then compare it to the 10.3, you will notice the difference.
