    Welcome to the Z30 club.

You are going to love it. Mine has been in for repair for a week, just got it back replaced with a new unit. Been using my 9900 in the meantime and hated it. On the plus side I've got a new back door.

When you get it do a device switch. Check for software updates, then just sit back and enjoy

Forgot to mention the on screen keyboard. I thought I would not get on with it coming from a 9900 but it really is fantastic.

No more physical keyboards for me.

    Passport? NO.

Not to rain on your parade but I have both Z30 and Q10. I have accidentally bricked my Z30 (my fault) and have been using the Q10 and have decided not to go back to the Z30. The Z30's size and lack of appropriate carrying methods in addition to the pleasure of a real keyboard on the Q have made me realize how much I like the Q. So do not give your Q away so fast.

Welcome! I'm one who made the switch from the Z10 and I can tell you that the Z30 is the best BB10 experience. The virtual keyboard is amazing, the sound quality is better than any device and the screen is perfect size and very clear. Plus the battery life is far superior than that of any other BlackBerry device.

Great choice and welcome to the Z30 forum!

Some people just can't get away from the physical keyboard. My girlfriend has a Z10 and Q10 and she uses the Q as her daily driver. She has said that her next phone will likely be the successor to the Z30, but she is one that loves her QWERTY.

Definitely an amazing device. Speakers, 15 hours of battery life, and bigger screen size are all big upgrades from my Z10!

Welcome to the Club The Z30 is an awesome daily driver. The battery life is excellent, the Amoled screen is very nice, feels great in the hand and the touch keyboard is just the right size. Tips for a new Z30 owner! Lean how to maximize your phone and battery life! I use the black theme for most of my screens, adjust your colour balance and contrast, look at your language and input (in your settings) to customize your prediction and auto correction. Wifi is a battery eater so surf when you have a connection (rather than using cell data) and turn off the wifi connection until the next time you need it. I typically get 2-2.5 days under moderate use.

You obviously don't use your browser, applications or any media. YES the Z30 has a great battery, but after 12-15 hours mine usually needs to be charged. Using 25% in 8 hours is usually only with low to moderate use.

You will run a real powerhouse!
    The good :
    - battery life awesome compared with Q or other phones.
    - screen
    - smooth and nice play with it
    - the only one 5 " so easy wearable day by day ( if you are a power user like me)
    - all the sistem works more fluid and nice

    The bad:
    - a little big. It was better in 4.5 format! Definitely this is the perfect size.
    - screen brightness must be bigger than now. Try an brightness app and you will see...

Hi everyone, im still holding my Z30 from the time it was purchased. Hahahha

My question is that to maintain the excellent performance of Z30 when it comes to battery. May I ask if what is your behaviour when it comes to charging the device? Up to how many percent do you intend to plug in.? Is it okey to plug in while using it? Is it okey to plug in while its still on 67% battery level?
    Thanks Guys.

Radio signals matter a lot to battery that's why I also would like to have that Parateked device. But will just save it up for the PP. Z30 will go down the history as one of the best BlackBerry device imo.

    1. If this is your first BB10 foray take some time to learn ALL the features of the OS.

    2. Built in BB10 OS apps are chock full of (not-so-obvious) features that you might have to seek out separate apps for if you were on a competitor's OS.

edit: I see now you are familiar with BB10. Carry on with item 3 immediately.

    3. When your done with 1 & 2 bump it up to BB 10.3 and you'll have yourself a brand new phone all over again!

I have both the Q10 and the Z30. And I would actually prefer the Z30 over the Q10.

The physical keyboard is nice but after getting used to the virtual keyboard, the auto correct function of BlackBerry takes care of the rest.

Now, I ended up giving the Z30 to my mother since she needed a phone, so I got a Z10 for myself for $200, but I wish that I had gone for the Z30 (although almost at a doubled price).

All in all, both the physical keyboard and the touch keyboard of BlackBerry is nice.
