Hi guys I just bought the Z3 as a fling to try something new and am quite enjoying the experience. I previously had android devices and a lumia (WP) as my day to day driver and now that I changed OS and have gotten used to it, I can say that this Z3 is smooth, responsive and classy looking. The only 2 niggles I have with it are the camera which is really bad, even for a 5mp. My lumia 620 was also 5mp and was much better. The second is battery life as it seems to drain 1-2% every 10min of usage. Perhaps it justs needs to settle. Anyway, overall I am pleased with it and am also pleased to make your acquaintance Cheers from Malta (Europe).

Welcome to Crackberry. I'm new too with Z3. For battery issue, I think you need to wait for 1 week. I have same issue start from day 2 until day 3. But day 4 until 7 were better in battery until now I can use almost 24 hour without charging. Hope this tip can help you.

BlackBerry 10.3 will help a bit with the camera. Possibly with the battery, as well.

Early to mid - November. It will be 10.3.1, as 10.3 will only be released on the Passport.

Glad to hear you're enjoying your phone

10.3.1 should bring many camera improvements.

Personally I don't own z3. But my friend is rocking on z3. Last for 2 days without recharging on wifi. I have z10 and battery life sucks.

If I'm not wrong, it simply snaps off. You can find a video for it on YouTube.

I do not see any point of removing the back cover as such so it is staying as it is.

You mentioned that you use adobe flash. Try turning off flash in the browser settings until you need it to save battery.

Yeah, the z3 back cover comes off. It's not unibody. The battery is not removable per se, but there is an aftermarket flip cover that replaces the back cover. It looks pretty cool (see the forum or YouTube for a video of removal).

The flip cover looks promising. My only concern is that it have the same rubberized dimpled texture that the original has.
