So, I am a college student, attended a career fair and I for the first time saw not one but two BlackBerry Z10s. The first belonged to an employee of ArcelorMittal, found out from him that all employees are issued Z10s. The second Z10 was with a VP from Honeywell Aerospace. He absolutely loves his Z10, massive improvement for him over the previous OS. Bad news is Honeywell is transitioning to the iPhone, which he is disappointed about.

Yesterday I was walking around campus, saw some students playing wiffleball with loud music playing. Walked past them, noticed a phone on the ground playing music, and it was a Q10. I have never seen so many BlackBerrys in such a short period of time.

Anyone else have neat/unexpected encounters?

Was at a conference with the company a while back that was dominated by BlackBerry 10 devices...just like the old days when BlackBerry OS was more or less everywhere...it also spoke volumes about the phones as I know most of those there, and they don't have time for 'the other guys'...

...there were even two PlayBook's...mine (LTE with the BlackBerry keyboard and case) and a tethered Wi-Fi model...both were 32GB variants...

Only ever seen two other Blackberry 10 devices in the wild since they got released.
My girl's cousin, she hated it until I introduced her to the Amazon App Store.
And there was this one dude at a Micro Center store. He had it as a replacement I don't know from what, but it was the first and only time I ever held a q10 in my hands.
It's kind of sad when you think about it.... lol

I also personally know 2 people using Q10's, 7 using Z30's, 2 Z10's, and 1 on a Q5...compared to 2 iPhone 5's, 3 Android's, and 2 flip phones...also know of a handful still stuck to their 9900's until heard upgrade time...then it's either Q20's or Z30's(about 5 total)...and still about 4 or 5 PlayBook's still in use as well...

I have I Q10, bought it before ever seeing it in person (on the internet.) only afterward I saw a couple people with it.

1 friend with the Z10, seen it once or twice thereafter.

Never saw the Z30!!!
Didn't know it existed till people kept on talking about it here on CB (first I thought it was a typo)

Never saw a PlayBook either.


But still love BlackBerry.
And rocking the Q10 till the Classic comes.....

I was at work in Long Beach, California and saw a guy using a black Q10. He is friends with my coworker, so I asked him, "Woah! You have the same phone as I do! You're like one of the only people I've seen with it.." and he's like, "Oh? Yeah.." and kind of twists it, probably weirded out by why I even care haha.

So I asked, "Did you... choose to have that phone or did your work give it to you?" because I just had to know if someone else in the Western Hemisphere willingly uses a BlackBerry like I do. And he was like, "Yeah, I've always had a BlackBerry for business."

It was great to see... though not so great because it was on T-Mobile like mine, so it's going to be hard for us to stay on T-Mobile and still get the latest BlackBerry.

I have converted about 10 folks to a z30 in the past 4 months. I still haven't seen anyone using a OS10 device in the wild in my area except for the folks I sold a z30 to. Unfortunately the BlackBerry brand is dead here in the USA.

But, there are still a few loyalists like me who carry their BlackBerry OS10 device with pride and preach the BlackBerry brand to whoever has an open mind and wants to try something that's will improve their productivity.

I see them all the time. I am lending a friend an old z10 at the moment. He asked to test drive it as his iphone is up for renewal. People at his work are surprisingly converting to BB10 devices and are loving them. "Imagine That"!

I've only seen 4 BB10 devices in the wild since launch - 3 Z10s and one Q5.

I'm in the SF Bay Area, and have never seen a BB10 phone "in the wild", but I've repaired 2 of them - a black Z10 and a white Q10. That's out of maybe 300 phones I've repaired. About 60% were iPhones, but that's mostly because iPhones are economical to repair, and many bigger, much-less-common phones are a lot more expensive to repair because the parts are so much more. New glass/screen for a Galaxy Mega or an LG G2 is $200, compared to $20 for an iPhone 4S.

Haha, it is amusing seeing BlackBerry users. It's like you know what's up.

My friend and I each have are Q10 and we were at Timmies and a couple sat at the table next to us and each pulled out their z30's.
It started a conversation.

Ps: the z30 seems like a sweet phone. Would love to have one without giving up my Q
