Morning all. Do you use a BlackBerry Z30 (STA100 -5), but with AT&T service? I'm in Atlanta, GA, well, I live in the Kennesaw area, and work in Atlanta, Roswell Road, near Buckhead.

If you are using a Z30, with AT&T service, do you notice from time to time that you lose connection? From time to time, I see it drop from 4G, to 4g, is this a common trait? When on 4g, the likes of iGrann don't work, since it is looking for a network connection.

Currently I'm on OS 10.3.0.1052. I know OS 10.3.0.1154 is out in the wild, but...
What are your thoughts on this?

    Thanks in advance
    Ivan

Model is the same, but I'm one 1130
Though I never had an issue on 1052 either.

Wait, wasn't there an option back in the day to reset the 'network' on a BlackBerry? Let me look for that...

Hi. I'm in Greenville SC and on 1154 and have had no problems with my Z30. 1052 also worked well here. Don't have LTE here but 4g seems to be good in the areas I travel in SC.

To confirm, do you get more of 4G or 4g? Thanks

My issue, and I should have advised this prior, is that from time to time, I'd actually see the red X versus 4G or 4g.

    I hope that makes sense.

I have 4G all the time in Greenville and Columbia. Only time I have noticed the red x is when traveling the back roads in remote areas but there is likely just no signal out there. In town I've had no problems. Didn't have 1052 on the phone long enough to really test it out while traveling.

I do get that red X sometimes but usually in known dead zones. Areas where I have always had trouble with signal, regardless of OS. I get 4G everywhere and some places actually get LTE

Jamie, you're not related to Jon Wooten in Atlanta are you? He's from Florida, too.

So far today, my connection seems fine. But, I noticed with 10.3.0.1154, using Bluetooth in my Ford Escape 2014, I can no longer receive text messages on my car display. It worked with 10.3.0.1052. A shame really.

Hopefully when 10.3 goes live they'll have these issues worked out.

I'm running my Z30 on its native Verizon, but I've had far fewer issues with 1154 than I did with 1052, so for anyone looking to update, go ahead and make the jump; it's worth it.
