Guys, I have got Cascarun Pro installed on my Q10. In the app note it gave lot of options like heart rate monitoring, blood pressure level and what not. I went to run thinking everything would be taken care but I couldn't get anything to my surprise except the total distance and timing. Even the Cascarun would give elevation details. I tried enabling heart rate monitoring but it remain disabled. Any idea? Appreciate the help.

Your best bet would be to contact the dev unless there is a setting you're missing. I have the free version, and was thinking of getting the pro, but if heart rate doesn't work, than I may not. But don't you need a heart rate receiver or something? Like a chest strap? Or does it work different now?

I use CascaRun Pro almost everyday with my Polar H7 HRM and it works perfect. What monitor are you using? Did you pair it to your phone and put it on before you started the app?

Thanks guys for replying. It might sound dumb but I was trying to get heart monitor enabled on an existing workout. Apparently, when I tried entering a new workout I could enable it by pairing with my Jabra BT. Does it mean the HR measurements would be done via BT signals or I need to have a HRM belt or clip tied to my body?

Curious to know how the app will get the heart rate data? Would it use the BT to get it coz I don't have HRM strapped to my body.

That's not the only way. I use the Polar H7 bluetooth HRM. Many work, but it's a cheap shoot whether any specific app will support them.

That was supposed to say "Crap shoot", but it still remains. Most devices are meant for iPhone or Android so BB10 compatibility is never guaranteed.
