This isn't an official BlackBerry site, and we have no direct influence with BlackBerry. You can make your request on their feedback site https://blackberry.icanmakeitbetter.com/

What are you talking about comrade?
I have Russian working just fine...
You just need to load the language by going to settings > Language and Input and load the Russian language.
    You will clearly see ???????
Also.make sure you are running OS 10.2.1.
    I'm using a z30 btw.
    Good luck.

Translit is used on physical keyboard devices.
So, whenever user presses A in English, it automatically is converted to A in Russian.
Someone mentioned that there will be updates to language packs in 10.3.
So, if anyone has a Q10 or Q5 and installed the leaked 10.3 then I would suggest to take a screenshot around russian language to see if anything has changed from 10.2.1.

If the OP is in Russia (or thereabouts), I think it's after midnight. He probably hasn't seen the response yet.

I am sure transliteration doesn't mean what you think it means.

This guy wants to be able to write Russian with a hardware QWERTY keyboard. BlackBerry is being foolish if they still don't realize this is a huge oversight, or they are opposed to many millions of people being able to write in Cyrillic languages, on hardware keyboards with western layouts. BBOS has this. BB10 does not. Major screw up.

    No.
BB10 does not support Bulgarian (which is not russian, although have similar alphabet), Ukrainian, as well as Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian.

Funny enough, but if you chose Lithuania as region - date and time is displayed correctly, in fluent LIthuanian, but as you type, you cannot chose LIthuanian variations of the LATIN alphabet letters:
    ą č ę ė į š ų ū ž

Another funny and stupid thing is, that some of those letters are already available in Polish or Czech keyboard layouts (after pushing "a" longer you get "ą"). The only problem is - that only few of them available in one keyboard, few another - in other, and you do not have all of them. few missing.

So, now, here's the question: WHY THE HELL IN YEAR 2014 BBRY cannot make those symbols available in LIthuanian?! WTF?
FYI: all those letters are available in iOS (since v1.0, Android (definatelly since 2.1 as I had old Android phone) and WP7/8. Hell, even Nokia 3310, which was released in 2000 and similar had those letters availabe (i.e. if you hit "a" and hold it longer - you get "ą")

    Now, please answer this question:
    HOW HARD CAN IT BE?

P.S. we have launched this in https://blackberry.icanmakeitbetter....rope-languages - admin said that he will forward this to BBRY... and 10.3 comes out (ok, leak) - and it is still not available.
Seriously, this is the utterly pathetic.

P.S. AFAIK this is on the Roadmap!!!!!!!!

Russian language on BlackBerry keyboard is completely different than Russian Translit. When you use BlackBerry Q10 and you typing language is Russian Translit (Bulgarian Phonetic) letter's buttons position is correct, and we can type on BlackBerry Q10 fine, but when your input language is Russian letters locations is completely different and this case you can't type
Overall the problem is still here IT'S NOT RESOLVED!!!

I think that I may have the answer. I'm not overly techy so to speak so follow my lead.

Canadian Company, doesn't offer a Russian translation (according to the OP), Um I wonder why? This is so simple...

It's Hockey related... case closed.. nothing can be done from here on out.

It's seems that Blackberry may take the nation's pass time a bit to seriously and it's reflecting in their work.

If BlackBerry has a distributor in Russia, the simple answer may be they want you to buy a phone with a Russian keyboard from the Russian distributor, rather than import cheaper english version phones.
