Found and interesting read today while looking up info on the upcoming Intelligence Transportation Society 21st World Congress in Detroit

The PDF at the provided link shows the hardware company that partnered with QNX software systems to get QNX car interface 1.0 off the ground

Shows the software system and hardware of infotainment systems, time lines and upgrade cycles, etc

Thought others who are following the business would like to see this piece of history

Thanks for this...interesting that they have grouped insurance and police into the same sub group the vehicle communicates to. Personally I don't think the insurance company deserves the info...they will simply use the data to raise rates...do 130 to pass someone. rates go up, do 35 one minute before sunset in a playground zone your insurance goes up...Nanny state on steroids.
