I have a big problem which I hope someone can help me out. It is with OS 10.3.0.1052 and above.
Each time I restart,reboot and or phone dies(z10-st100-3). the phone resets to factory setting... does not save any of my configurations and downloaded apps.

This is what I have done..
Side loaded from 10.2.1.222 straight to all the new 10.3.0.1052 and above ( still same result)
Side loaded from 10.30.0.700 to latest release or Leaks ( still no Joys)
I have done destructive install after security wipes for good measure

I have done Autoloaders on all the new releases or leaks and same result
I have done wipes before and after install but the result is same....(using all known methods to me).

if I install 10.3.0.700 and below everything works fine. Settings, downloaded app all persist after restart..

Added this piece for clarity ( But no Welcome Screen is observed)..I have another thread that explains it.

It is like the OS is loading as Read Only on each restart or reboot.

So please any help will be appreciated.

Oh my gosh what a nightmare. You have tried wiping so that should take are of any funky remaining issues on your device. I hope someone has advice for you!

Have you tried not wiping at all and just loading an autoloader?

It sounds as if something in memory is corrupted or maybe even a portion of hardware that would retain that info. And you have said you did a Security Wipe?

But one version of 10.3 does retain its settings? How old is the phone? Warranty?

Have your removed the Battery? Leave out for 15 or so minutes.

Let's see if anyone has ideas on what could cause such issues.

Man, I have been at this issue over a week now.. going to sleep way pass 12am working on it..
Yes I have done security wipes, remove battery, remove sim and micro sd card....
Yes this issue only happens with all the release/leak after 10.3.0.700 Dev.....
If I install anything up to 10.3.0.700 this issue is not observed..i.e. I can restart without loosing any records or settings or downloaded app
I will try leaving the bat out for 15 min as you suggest and see..

Yep... I have tried all that as stated in the original post... maybe am missing something... issue is only observed with Release or leaks above 10.3.0.700 dev.
As I said.. anything below 10.3.0.700 and the phone works like a charm.

I forget the name of the utility available in the Leak subforum. Something that really, really wipes the phone clean.

If you go back to 10.2.xxxx, does it still lose everything?

No, it works fine on 10.2.xxx and works fine on 10.3.0.xxx up to 10.3.0.700. By that I mean, I don't lose anything.. my setting and downloaded apps survive reboots and restarts....
I don't know if this is an issues.. I have not seen the setup app screen (the one you get after a fresh install) in the longest while.. Is that normal?

Well, when I installed the leak, I did get those setup screens. But I don't know what's normal in that regard.

i just noticed I have not been getting the welcome screen.... I just did a downgrade to 10.2.1.xxxx and didn't get the welcome screen..

Me nah give up the fight.. will keep trying all solutions.. th ank

Some guys fixed restart error, just up to 10.3.0.1154, work fine w/o error wipe on reboot.
You used Z-10 03? This is autoload link.

You are correct. I called T-Mobile / Blackberry and luckily am still under warranty, thanks to another exchange they did early in the year. So am going to get a replacement equipment next week.. I have to make sure I don't restart, reboot, and try any other leaks before then.

You can use BBLink to REinstall the software. Plug in the phone to usb and look for a prompt near the center bottom more or less to reload the OS. Or you can go back to the Leak subforum and find an autoloader for the version you want.

Sorry I didn't make it clear.. the problem with the handset (which is also a replacement from previous one) is not the leak.... I just observed it (including no welcome screen) during this leak install...

I did a thorough investigation and concluded it had always been there.. just not observed.....
Phone works fine so long as i don't do a restart or reboot or it does not die..(10.3.0.1052 or later)

T-Mobile is trying to get us all off BB... but we the die hards won't leave

Just run the latest leak 1154 has all the apps you will need...

If I delete apps that came with OS(not downloaded) and do SecWipe ( settings-->Security-type blackberry) through the phone..... those deleted apps do not return... They do return if i use BBLink to reload..or if I use Autoloaders

Someone else will have to answer. I've generally not deleted certain pre-installed apps. But sometimes, if you do remove "standard" apps, either BB or your carrier might push them back to your phone.

As I stated most of these problems were there.. just not observed as I never had to restart..
I only noticed them, when I had to restart 10.3.0.1052. that troubled me. After putting in a lot of man hours, I discovered all the other problems...
anyways it is going back to carrier for exchange.
